Windows users can customize their desktop theme to change their Office application look and feel by editing a settings file. Changing an office theme is easy and takes only minutes. In fact, you can preview your theme changes before you implement them. You can customize each of your Office applications—Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Publisher—individually or in any combination you choose.
Here’s how to quickly edit a settings file so that one or more of your Office applications will use custom themes with color palettes that you specify:
1) Change Theme File Location
2) Copy New Theme File
3) Edit Settings File
4) Save Settings File
5) Use Custom Themes in Your App
Now let’s go through these steps one at a time:
Change Theme File Location Before you start changing your themes, it’s important to know where they are stored on your computer. By default, Office stores its theme files in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates (Windows XP) or C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates (Windows Vista/7). This location is different from where all of your other Office documents are stored. It’s also not visible when you first open My Computer or Windows Explorer.
To see it, follow these steps:
The directory allows employees to access phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses easily. If a supervisor’s information is incorrect or out of date, they can easily update it themselves through the MyEnvoyAir portal. The directory also lists key people in departmental subgroups that employees are directly responsible for (i.e., dispatchers, station managers, mechanics, safety representatives). The homepage displays news and announcements from various departments so that all employees are kept up to date with company events and happenings.
The company directory contains contact information for each department and staff member at Envoy Air. This is a great place to start your research on specific individuals if you are planning to send an email, letter, or paper correspondence. When communicating with employees of Envoy Air, it is best practice to address letters to individuals by name when possible.
When sending emails, it’s also recommended that you use their personal email address instead of a general company address or one listed on MyEnvoyAir. In addition to individual names and addresses, MyEnvoyAir also lists phone numbers and fax numbers for many departments within the organization in case you need to contact someone after hours or via telephone.
Before you can access any of your account information, it is important to know how to register and log in on MyEnvoyAir. Once you have registered, you will be able to access a number of employee resources, like announcements and upcoming events. It’s pretty easy to do!
Here’s how.
