The Huawei Watch GT 2e is the fitness version of Huawei’s Watch GT 2 smartwatch series (available on Amazon and Shopee).It is compatible with Android and iPhones via the Huawei Health app and runs on Huawei’s Lite OS.The GT 2e, unlike the GT 2, is only available in one size, with a 47mm watch case and a 1.39-inch display.
The watch comes in two colours: a silver casing with a green silicone strap (version tested) and a black case with a red silicone strap.There are also minor design differences between the GT 2 and the GT 3. For starters, it has integrated lugs rather than traditional open lugs. However, 22mm watch straps can still be used.
The two large circular buttons on the right side of the GT 2 have been replaced with two flat rectangular buttons in the GT 2e to minimize accidental presses during workouts like weight lifting, when your wrist may be twisted.
On the other hand, its spherical watch casing still features a single piece of glass over the display that blends in with the black bezel. The bezel will blend seamlessly with a black watch face.
The GT 2e appears to be more athletic than its GT 2 counterparts.It also contains an optical heart-rate sensor and built-in GPS, which the GT 2 does not. It also has automatic workout monitoring. It recorded my outdoor runs and walked without any problems.
The difference between its step-tracking readings and those recorded by my calibrated Apple Watch Series 4 is only about 5%.
