The Best WoW TBC Talent Calculators

All for planning the best builds

Talent calculators are a godsend for theorycrafters. They can plan out a build and mess around with it without having to spend any WoW TBC gold on re-allocating points. The only downside is that they have no idea about the damage output of the build until it’s applied to the character. Still, this is better than nothing, and it reduces the chances of wasting ability points.

Here are the most popular WoW TBC Talent Calculators.

WoW TBC Talent Calculators for Desktop

Wowhead TBC

What sets this one apart from the others is that it has everything. Do you want to share your build? It creates a link. Embed it on your webpage? There’s an option for that. Need to search up a specific ability? There’s an easy link to a class ability search.

As you allocate your points, it keeps track of the order you enter them. It also keeps track of what abilities you can learn and the highest rank you can get at certain levels. It’s the second most in-depth talent calculator you’ll see on this list.

Warcraft Tavern

It’s much like the above, save for the talent ranks and ability search. Still, a solid calculator where you could plan out a build.

Icy Veins

This one is a no-nonsense talent calculator. Do you want to plan a build? That’s all there is to it. No frills or extra stuff, just theorycrafting.

Legacy WoW

It’s as simple as the Icy Veins one, but with the added feature of a link to save or share your build.

Aside from the talent calculators, they all have easy links to other resources and guides. These sites are a good start if you need further help in equipping or TBC power leveling your character.

WoW TBC Talent Calculators for Mobile

These sites are great, but they’re not exactly applicable on mobile. They all have ‘right-click to unlearn’ as a default setting, and that’s not quite possible on a phone/tablet. You can connect a mouse to your phone, but not many people will have one on hand.

Besides, not everybody has a PC to use for this, but everybody has a phone. Then again, to play World of Warcraft, you’ll need a computer. Still, it’s nice to have a portable offline method of theorycrafting.

There are other workarounds, such as forcing the device onto the site’s desktop version or holding the icon. At least, some websites consider the latter as a right-click input. Among those listed above, this doesn’t apply to the Wowhead calculator. However, having more precise input methods applicable to mobile devices will be more appreciated.

Here are some talent calculators for mobile devices.

Seventy Upgrades

You can tap on an ability and choose whether to increase or decrease points allocated to the talent. Also, you can create a character on the site to plan for equipment as well. With both the equipment and point allocation to the skills, you’ll know how your character will perform.

The site will list your projected attributes and relevant stats. You can choose what to see, from damage-oriented stats (melee/ranged/spells) to defensive stats (resistances on a separate panel). Healing is included in spells, even if it doesn’t damage the target.

Since it’s a site and not an app, PC users can also use it for more in-depth theorycrafting.

Legacy WoW Talent Calculator by Oppahansi

This is an app for Android found in the Play Store. You can save and load multiple builds, share them with others, and even see the talent sequence. Everything is free, with no paywalls. There’s just a small ad banner at the bottom of the screen, which is not too intrusive.

As an app, it’s optimized to be used on mobile devices. Unlike Seventy Upgrades, though, it only focuses on talent builds. It doesn’t include equipment sets. To balance that out, it won’t need the internet to run. All you need is your phone, and you can theorycraft on the go. It has the upside that you don’t even see the ad banner if you’re offline.

Unfortunately for Apple device users, it’s not in your App Store. You’ll have to find a different calculator or find an Android device.

So Which One is the Best?

That’s a subjective question, and only you can answer that. Some people might prefer their PC and a mouse, so they can choose any of the sites. Seventy Upgrades is the most in-depth, but the others will do if you only need to plan skills out. Others would prefer using their mobile devices, so the Legacy WoW Talent Calculator is the best one for them (but only for Android users).

That’s everything for your theorycrafting needs. All the calculators listed above have the same primary function. Choosing the best boils down to your preference for the extra stuff. No matter which one you end up using, be glad you don’t have to spend as much TBC Classic gold to experiment on your builds.

Keep on playing and enjoying World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic!
