In order to have “perpetual success” in life you should wear some Islamic talismans just like a certain era of Persian kings had done for centuries. Consequently, today many people are attracted by the memories associated with these talismans. The Islamic community is satisfied with such people nowadays because they wear the talismans religiously so they can keep their business safe from ruin.

Taweez originated in agamic traditions in pre-islamic Persia, later becoming a synonym for “totem” or “perpetual object.” In Shia Islam, it is considered an object from God that must be worn on the person’s body to protect them from danger until their death and after making ablution wudhu (washing ritual) if available.

We’ll take a look at some talismans in this section that reflect the Islamic culture of Iran. Types:

1. “Talip’at” or “the cord of protection”, This talisman is often made of a cord with tassels on each end, woven in the shape of an oval. This talisman is believed to protect its owner from their enemies and provide protection when they are walking.

Many people choose to purchase taweez from a market such as Daru Miana, an ancient street of Tehran carrying a huge list of mystical and magical items. But on top of branding their competitor’s products, they are also able to share nuggets of what they know. Once at the Daru Miana street for only an hour in Tehran man could see many beautiful artefacts like talismans and other mystic items. One turban visitor handed over a taweez believed to help children achieve good grades in school.
