Professional Acne Treatments To Consider When You’ve Tried Everything

Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that affects millions of people in the UK a year. Acne doesn’t just affect teenagers either, this skin condition can impact adults too. If you’re someone who suffers from acne, and you’ve just about tried everything to help it, then you may find this blog post useful.

Acne can be a very frustrating and uncomfortable condition to deal with, but thankfully there are a multitude of treatments available that can help reduce the appearance of acne, there’s got to be something you haven’t tried yet.

The Laser Treatment Clinic has helped put together this list of a few of the most effective acne treatments out there.

What causes acne?

Before we get into the treatments, it’s important to discuss how acne is caused. Acne happens when sebum clogs the pores, resulting in blackheads and other types of spots. Bacteria can then cause inflammation, resulting in severe acne. Red spots, nodules, and painful cysts are some of the main symptoms of severe acne.

Laser therapies

Did you know that there are a range of different laser treatments available today that can all help to reduce the appearance of acne? Laser therapy is an incredibly effective way to treat acne as it targets the under layer of the skin to help stimulate the production of collagen, and reduce inflammation.

Laser therapies such as laser resurfacing and intense pulsed light (IPL) are both effective acne treatments. These treatments are carried out by a skincare specialist that will assess your skin and map out a treatment plan for you based on your skin’s condition.

Laser resurfacing focuses on removing the damaged top layer of the skin, including the acne-causing bacteria, and encouraging the growth of new skin cells. Removing the top layer of skin triggers a production in collagen, which helps the skin heal and become healthier.

IPL on the other hand, is a fractional laser treatment that sends waves of light into the skin. This heats up the skin and helps to remove acne-causing bacteria. Both these laser treatments are effective, safe, and reliable.

A professional natural peel

If laser treatments aren’t for you then do not worry as you’re in luck. There are treatments out there that do not require any lasers, but are very effective in treating acne. One of these treatments is an all-natural skin peel called the Derma White treatment. This treatment consists of a herbal blend of vitamins, enzymes, and minerals that is applied to the skin similarly to a chemical peel.

The key thing about this treatment though, is that there are no harsh chemicals involved at all. This is amazing news for those with sensitive skin. If you suffer from acne and do not want to go down the laser therapy route, then the Derma White treatment is for you.

This professional treatment helps to remove the acne-causing bacteria from the surface of the skin, as well as brightening it up too.
