There are few ways to crack your knees:

  1. You can crack your knee by just sitting on any chair or lying down on straight place. It is best way to crack your knee in which the person has full control. It is often considered better to pull off all the pressure from knee. You can control the pressure and intensity of the pressure while popping the knee, if you are in rest or in sitting position.
  2. The knee can also be cracked by knee stretching out straight. The person needs to straighten the knee joints as aligned as possible, making the fully outspread knee position. This positioning might be more than enough to crack the knees without doing extensive joint exercises.

  4. The person might get knee cracking by just extending and contracting. This takes several rounds of doing the same positioning of the knees to crack your knee. If the crack is not happening, the person needs to exert some pressure on the knees to crack the joint.
  5. The person can also crack the knees by doing lunge while standing straight. The person needs to keep some distance between the feet. Then bend your knee with foot backward position. The cracked knee should be bent far enough that the front knee lies straight ahead of the front ankle. While, bent knee should be aligned with hip posture. To need to ensure the accurate posture to not damage the knee joint.
  6. If the lunge doesn’t work for you and you are not capable enough to exert such strength, person needs to exert the same strength by bending both knees and doing squads. The squads not only ensure the knee cracking but also strengthen the back, thigh and knee muscles.

The knee cracking is absolutely normal; however, the excessive knee cracking might be the early sign of arthritis or meniscus. In that case person needs to know how to wrap a knee to make it relaxed after getting proper consultation, less weightlifting or excessive exercising.
