How many levels to study in AAT program?

The Association of Accounting Technicians exam is one of the leading professional exams for accountants worldwide. This level is considered as the entry-level step to gain the AAT membership and to pursue a career in finance. 2. The foundation stage of AAT qualification is also known as the level 2 exam. This level focuses on different aspects of the accounting industry including the estimation principles, double-entry bookkeeping, handling of accounting software, and many other related concepts. It is a professional training to impart students with communication and business skills.

3. The intermediate stage or level 3 of AAT is a great chance to acquire the AAT diploma in accounting through a globally recognized accountant body. Students with an accounting background are exempted from certain levels per the requirements of the different stages of AAT. This level focuses primarily on complex accounting principles, disciplines, and skills including the code of ethics for accountants, trial balances, double entry systems, final accounts, credit control practices, advanced bookkeeping, and others. Students directly jump into this level with a proper comprehension of the subject. 

4. The final and most advanced stage or the level 4 exam of AAT focuses on higher accounting practices with a solid theory foundation attained from the previous two levels. It includes the practices involved in the cash management, formal preparation of accounts, evaluating financial performance, credit management, personal tax, external auditing, treasury management, business tax, managing budgets, and drafting financial statements.
