  1. Baked Oats With Banana

The simplest and most popular baked oats recipes. It will take you about 30 minutes to prepare and bake, making it perfect for a quick snack or breakfast for all the busy people out there.

Ingredients (For One Serving)

  • 200g of Rolled oats: lightly processed whole grain oats containing most of their fiber and nutrients.
  • 1 Banana: a natural sweetener and the main flavor ingredient
  • ½ a cup of milk: you can use your preferable milk
  • 1 egg: binds the ingredients together
  • ½ a tablespoon of vanilla extract: for extra flavor
  • ¼ cup of Maple syrup or honey: this is the main sweeter
  • ½ a tablespoon of baking powder: this is to raise the dough and make it fluffy
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon: to add flavor and aroma

Procedure

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Place your rolled oats in a blender and blend to a fine powder. Do not over blend since larger particles give the cake more airspaces making it fluffier.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients to the blended oat flour and blend further for 20 seconds.
  4. Grease the ramekin with oil. You can use coconut oil for extra flavor.
  5. Place the mixture in the ramekin and put it in the oven for 25 minutes.
  6. After 25 minutes, test to see if your baked oat cake is ready by pushing a toothpick at the center of the cake. If you pull it out and it is mostly clean, your cake is ready.
  7. Let it cool for five minutes and enjoy.

Tip: if you want to spice it up more, sprinkle some chocolate and strawberries(if you like) on top of the cake, giving you a chocolate chip-baked oat cake!
