How the Text Editor Works
Text Editor is a pure Javascript web application. All processing is done locally on your web browser and on your computer.
This application will open the text file of your choice, allowing you to make changes and save it to Google Drive or your computer.
Text Editor can open all types of text files including TXT, CSV, HTML, XML, CSS and JSON as well as code files such as C ++, Java, and Python.
Common text editor features are supported including syntax highlighting, word wrapping, themes and keyboard shortcuts.
Keyboard shortcuts are supported; press the “Keyboard” icon in the toolbar to display a list of all keyboard shortcuts.
There are two types of text editors we refer to in WPBeginner. The first type is a computer program used to edit code. You can use these text editors to write plugins or modify your works.php file. Examples of human text editors are Notepad, Notepad ++, Coda, Dreamweaver, etc.
The second type of text editor is that on your WordPress post editing screen. The WordPress post editing screen comes with two editors to write posts, visuals and text. Unlike a visual editor, a text editor requires you to add any formatting such as italics, alignment, and spacing using HTML.
