Heating Methods For Bathrooms & Kitchens

Different rooms in your home will require different types of heating, and it can be hard to pick which one is best. Typically, people use radiators for their main heating source, but there are a lot of other options as well that can work just as good. Bathrooms and kitchens are often overlooked when it comes to heating as well, as most people assume they don’t need as they aren’t being used as much as the living room or bedroom. However, they do actually need just as much warmth as other rooms, so choosing the right one is crucial. So, keep reading and discover the types of heating methods that work best for bathrooms and kitchens.

Towel Radiators

Towel radiators do a lot more than just keep your used towels dry. In fact, they are brilliant at heating bathrooms, and can prove to be very energy efficient. Towel radiators come in a number of different sizes too, so they can fit into even the most compact bathrooms. You can find a lot of these nowadays that have remote controls too, so if you want to turn it on or off while you’re out of the house, you can. Towel radiators are a fantastic addition to bathrooms, so if you don’t have one, it’s definitely a good idea to get one.

Skirting Heating

In kitchens, you might not have enough space to have an actual radiator, so opting for something slimline and discreet is going to be your best option. Skirting heating is an innovative heating method that uses infra-red technology to warm an area. The heaters are placed in the skirting of your kitchen, meaning they won’t take up too much space and you’ll be able to enjoy a lovely warm kitchen in no time.

Underfloor Heating

One option that works for both kitchens and bathrooms is underfloor heating. With such simple installation and cheap running costs, this heating is ideal for any home. Underfloor heating can be plumbed into your central heating or run off your electric, with central heating thought to be the least expensive method. This heating is great at evenly warming a room as the heat is spread across the whole room, rather than just emitting from one area. Underfloor heating works great in large rooms too, as you don’t need to have a huge radiator to try and ensure that it can reach all corners of it. So, if you’re wanting something that will work for both rooms, be sure to give underfloor heating a go.

Vertical Radiators

Another option that works for both rooms is vertical radiators. These have a unique vertical design that allows them to seamlessly fit into any size room while still providing a brilliant warmth. Bathrooms and kitchens are notorious for not having much space, so going to this space-saving option can work wonders. Being able to produce heat from the top to the bottom of the room enables it to fill the space, instead of only the lower level and hoping it reaches the other side. Vertical radiators can also act as a statement piece in the room as their unusual design will often be a talking point among visitors. Why not try a vertical radiator instead of an out-dated horizontal one, and your bathroom and kitchen will be kept toasty in a flash.

Heating kitchens and bathrooms isn’t easy, as their lack of space often compromises what you can have. But these options allow you to keep these rooms warm without eating into what little space you have. With kitchens and bathrooms, it’s all about maximising space, so opting for a heating solution that gives you space instead of taking it away is always the best decision. Why not give one of these a try and see just how lovely and warm they can make your home. Once they’re installed, you’ll wonder how you ever got by without them!
