What is FBISD skyward – How To Login And Access

FBISD skyward is a web-based student information system that provides parents and guardians access to their children’s grades, attendance, and schedules. In this article, we will show you how to login to FBISD skyward and access your child’s information. Let’s get started!

Features Of FBISD Skyward

If your child is in FBISD, you have received a  login  and password to access your child’s grades and other information through skyward. Here are some features of this system:

1. If you don’t know your login, call the school office. If they don’t know it, they can help locate it for you.
2. You will have immediate access to your child’s grades and attendance reports if he or she took classes during the previous school semester (e.g., Fall 2015 or Spring 2016).
3. You will not have access to grades or reports for previous semesters.
4. Your log in and password are specific to your child’s school (e.g., Bowie High School, Bowie Jr. High School, etc.).

Here is how you log into FBISD skyward:

1. Go to the FBISD website: http://www.fbisd.org/discoveryportal/Default.aspx
2. Click on Parent Access under the Academics tab:

4. After you enter your Student ID and password, click the Login button below. Your login page should look like this:

How To Download FBISD Skyward And Read Grades

If you do have access to skyward, here are the steps to download the data and read the grades:

1. Go to FBISD skyward: http://www.fbisd.org/discoveryportal/Default.aspx
2. Click on Parent Access under the Academics tab:
3. Click on eGrades link under the School Menu button, left hand side of your screen:
4. You should see the following screen:
5. Click on the Year link next to your child’s school year (e.g., Fall 2015 or Spring 2016).
6. Click on the School Name link next to your child’s school:
7. You will be asked to enter your Student ID, click the Login button below, and then click the eGrades link under Current Period:
8. When you are prompted for a password, enter your Student ID number without any zeroes or dashes (e.g. 1234567890).
9. Next, you will see a screen similar to the following (note the names of classes and teachers; this is what you see when your child took classes during Fall 2015):
10. After you click the Read Grades button, you will see your child’s grades in the box on the left:
11. Click on Degree Graphs link next to each grade to see how much time was spent in each class, and then click the Close button:
12. After you click the Close button, you will find yourself back at the previous screen. You can repeat the process for Spring 2016 or any other time period for which your child has taken classes.
13. Click on the Back to School menu button, left hand side of your screen:

Benefits Of Using FBISD Skyward

The biggest benefit of using the FBISD skyward is the ability to see your child’s grades and monitor his or her progress in school. You can also keep up with your child’s attendance, make sure he or she is attending classes, and receive notices if there are any problems.

In addition to seeing your grades, you can also see how much time was spent in each class. In some cases, this allows you to tell if your child is doing well in a class (high time) or not (low time).

You can also see how much time your student spends in physical education classes and receive notices if there are any problems.
The skyward system should make the process of getting information about your child’s school easier. It will be easier to find out what degree has been taken and what grades have been received.
