Choosing a Z590 motherboard for the new Intel 11th Gen Core Processors was not a simple process because Z590 is such a new chipset with little exposure at the time of writing. Because the 11th Gen CPUs have a lot of overclocking potential that can only be unlocked with a strong and robust VRM, VRM quality and power supply is a significant component in the buying choice for these new motherboards. With that in mind, here are the Z590 and Z690 Motherboards in 2021.
- ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus
The TUF Gaming Z590-Plus has a decent power delivery system that may not be as good as the Maximus XIII Hero’s, but it should be enough to handle most of the incoming Intel 11th Gen CPUs, even when overclocked. The TUF Gaming’s feature list isn’t awful either, with three M.2 slots and six SATA connections for storage. Overall, the ASUS TUF Gaming Z590-Plus motherboard is a great value for the money. It’s a lot less expensive than the other boards on the list, but it still delivers on a number of fronts, including power delivery and functionality. It may lack Wi-Fi and Thunderbolt, but considering the price, it can be overlooked. This is unquestionably the board to think about.
- Gigabyte Z590 Vision G
In terms of features, the Vision G is likewise rather well-equipped. A 2.5GbE Ethernet port handles networking on the board, albeit it lacks Wi-Fi connection, which may be an irritant to some users but can be readily remedied with an inexpensive PCIe WiFi card. Overall, the Vision G Z590 is a good motherboard in terms of power supply and functionality, but it’s the board’s design that takes it to the next level. There are a few things on the board that would have given it a better value for the money, but overall, it’s a fantastic Z590 motherboard.
- Gigabyte AORUS Master Z590
The AORUS Master also has a lot of features, including some that aren’t even accessible on more costly models. One of the features is the inclusion of a 10GbE Ethernet port for connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi 6E. However, the AORUS Master lacks Thunderbolt 3 ports, which is a bit of a drawback at this pricing range. Although it lacks Thunderbolt connection, the AORUS Master is a good alternative to the Maximus XIII Hero at a somewhat lower price. It is up to the potential buyer to decide whether or not this has a substantial influence on their decision.
- MSI MEG Z590 ACE
The Z590 ACE isn’t the most handsome board in the world in terms of appearance, but it’s certainly not unpleasant. It employs the same PCB covers as the Maximus XIII and has two identical lighting zones. MSI’s intention in designing the Z590 ACE was to make it a little more dramatic and aggressive than other motherboards in the same category. When lighted up in a whole system, these RGB sections look fantastic and may be controlled with Mystic Light.
